xoserve provides a number of key services that support the contractual and licence obligations of the major gas transporters. Being at the heart of the industry, xoserve provides the following key benefits to the gas transporters and the British gas industry;

• Delivers consistent processes across all Network companies, optimising efficiency and cost for the industry without an individual Network being required to establish similar processes
• Minimises changes to gas Shippers systems and processes
• Preserves the continuity of central Supply Point Administration services through a single point of contact for gas Shippers and therefore avoids duplication of interfaces, data storage and processing
• Enables activities that are undertaken on behalf of the industry as a whole (eg Energy Balancing Invoicing and Credit Risk Management) to be on an "arms length" basis.

xoserve facilitates and manages change for key industry stakeholders. These stakeholders include the gas Shippers, gas supply companies, Ofgem, energywatch, the Network owners, meter operators / meter asset managers and end consumers. By working with these organisations, xoserve ensures that changes to the industry are proactively and effectively managed.

xoserve will provide services, subject to appropriate approval, where benefits to shareholders and/or the industry can be achieved on a commercial basis.
