Sian began her career with Accenture, where she helped launch Sainsbury’s first online grocery shopping service and the Nectar loyalty card programme.
In 2004, she joined BT, holding a number of strategically important positions. These included leading BT Infonet, a US-based subsidiary business with a turnover of over £700 million.
Before this, Sian was responsible of BT’s £300 million wholesale broadband portfolio, doubling the speed and coverage of copper broadband availability during her tenure. She also led BT’s entry into the wholesale content distribution market, at a time of explosive growth in streaming video and TV services over broadband, including YouView and BT Sport.
Sian has also held Chief Information Officer and Digital Strategy roles at BT and Clarks. She is currently a non-executive board member for the UK Statistics Authority and a Vice President of The Institute of Customer Service.
