Data Discovery Platform (DDP)

The Data Discovery Platform (DDP) is made available using an online analytical tool called Birst.

You can access Birst using the below link. You will need your user ID and password to log in.

Access Birst

Please note your account details must be created in Birst before accessing the platform. To gain access to the account, please contact your organisations primary user to create a user account.

To find out who your primary user is, contact the Xoserve data team at box.xoserve.DataOffice@xoserve.co.uk.

Please note your account details must be created in Birst before accessing the platform. To gain access to the account, please contact your organisation's primary user to create a user account in the platform.

Please contact your primary user and email box.xoserve.DataOffice@xoserve.co.uk.

Your username will be your email ID within your organisation's domain (eg myname@mycompany.com).

To initially set your password, or if you've forgotten your password, select the "forgot your password" option on the login screen. You should receive an email from Infor/Birst with the password reset instructions; it could arrive in your junk folder.

Your account will be pre-configured to access default dashboards when navigating through from the landing page.

These can be accessed through the dashboard 'collections' such as Reads and Portfolio through the menu on the left of the landing page, or through the 'Browse Collections and Dashboards' on the right.

Most of the graphs and charts in DDP have an 'ibutton' in the top-right corner which, once clicked, will provide a description.

Depending on where you are in DDP, there may be a training link within the 'Help & Support' section of the landing page.

On each 'dashlet', there should be an option to select 'dashlet actions' (marked by the downward-facing arrow), and then navigate to the export function. This will allow the export of a summary table view of the displayed data.

If you want to export the full lower-level data, navigate to the details page in the given dashboard collection and similarly select 'dashlet actions' (marked by the downward-facing arrow), and then navigate to the export function. Meter point level data can be exported in CSV or Excel format and will extract to your Windows download folder.

Passwords for InforBirst will expire after 30 days.

If you can't log in, please email box.xoserve.DataOffice@xoserve.co.uk or raise a support request to reset your account.
