Dear Customers and Industry Colleagues,
We are planning ahead here at Xoserve for an exciting, but challenging period of change over the next few years. We brought to life in our Business Plan that we are scaling up our technology and delivery workforce to effectively support the volume of market change ahead. Our scaling plans are now underway and I am comfortable that we will be in a strong position to support both the pace and volume of change as we transition into next year.
Specifically, we have:
- Finalised our approach to creating a second parallel delivery pathway on UK Link, so that we can support Ofgem’s Central Switching Programme using one track and protect our existing customer capacity via the other.
- Secured the support of a national headhunter to onboard additional technical and delivery talent.
- Brought together our Gemini, UK Link and CSS teams under a new Chief Technology Officer.
I am delighted to announce that I have appointed Lee Foster as our new Chief Technology Officer with effect from 7th January 2019. Lee has previously led the Gemini Platform, the UK Link Platform and led our largest and most successful work-stream during Project Nexus. He has most recently been leading our CSS programme and is therefore ideally placed to take responsibility for all of these different elements going forward. We are well underway with our recruitment for Lee’s successor and plan to bring on-board someone in January with significant large-scale, multi-party programme experience to support the market in delivering the central switching programme.
Steve Adcock, will be retiring in March next year and I want to take this opportunity to thank Steve for the incredible contribution he has made to Xoserve and the energy market over his 38 year career in our industry.
