Sian started her career with Accenture, where most notably she helped launch Sainsbury’s first online grocery shopping channel and the Nectar Loyalty Card programme.
Sian joined BT in 2004 and held a number of strategically important positions, including leadership of BT Infonet, a £700m turnover BT subsidiary business based out of the US, offering global WAN solutions to multinational companies. Prior to this, Sian was responsible for BT’s £300m wholesale broadband portfolio, doubling the speed and coverage of copper broadband availability in the UK during her tenure. Sian also led BT’s entry into the Wholesale Content Distribution market at a time of explosive growth in streaming video over broadband. Sian launched the infrastructure which went on to underpin high quality streaming video and TV services over broadband, including YouView and BT Sport.
Sian has also held several Chief Information Officer and digital strategy roles at BT and subsequently at Clarks.
In addition, Sian is currently a non-executive board member for the UK Statistics Authority.
