As per our previously published communications and as part of our annual programme of resilience and disaster recovery (DR) testing, Xoserve will be conducting the 2019 Gemini, Gemini Exit and Gemini EU DR test on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April 2019. This is an annual test to prove the DR capabilities and procedures for Gemini.
There will be a service outage between the following times:
- Gemini, Gemini Exit and Gemini EU – Saturday 13th April 3:15am to 7:30am UK BST. Should it be necessary to failback to the primary site, the outage window will be extended to 12:30pm UK BST
- Gemini, Gemini Exit and Gemini EU – Sunday 14th April 3:00am to 7:30am UK BST. Should there be issues failing back to the primary site, the outage window will be extended to 12:30pm UK BST
Should there be an operational emergency the test will be deferred. Gemini would be released back to production following the normal housekeeping window at 4:15am UK BST on Saturday or 5am UK BST on Sunday. The contingency dates for this test will then be used, which are Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April 2019 with the same timings above.
If it is necessary to defer the test, an ANS message will be sent by National Grid GNCC. Updates will also be available from the Xoserve Service Desk on 0845 600 0506 and via the Xoserve website .
