Dear Customers,

I’d like to share my latest update as we continue to support you through the ongoing challenges and impacts of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

We continue to monitor the advice and guidance from national and local government on COVID-19 measures. We have made available a small number of desks (with full COVID-19 safety measures in place) at our office for employees, who are experiencing difficulties in working from home.  Our office remains closed to visitors and to the majority of our workforce.

As the start of the new Gas Year approaches (1st October), I would like to draw your attention to two recent news articles on our website.

Mark Perry, Business Process Manager for the Demand Estimation Team, has provided a final update on the Seasonal Normal Review.  This typically happens every five years and takes effect on 1st October. This has an impact on all Non-Daily Metered (NDM) Annual Quantities and also on the Daily NDM Allocation process. You can read the full article here.

Fiona Cottam, Business Process Manager for the Customer Performance Analysis Team, has published an article on the new Unidentified Gas (UIG) Weighting Factors, which also take effect on 1st October.  This will be applied to the sharing of UIG from that Gas Day onwards.
