Gas Transmission Charging Regime – Successful Implementation and Document Go Live

We are happy to confirm that the system updates required to as part of XRN4376 – Gas Transmission Charging Regime were successfully completed on Thursday 1st October 2020 at approximately 5am.

In June 2020, the Extraordinary Change Pack was issued to the industry which provided an update on UNC Modification 0678, the GB Gas Charging review. On 28th May 2020, Ofgem decided to implement 0678A. This change was to deliver major changes to the GB charging framework including changes to the calculation, application and invoicing of Transmission and Non-Transmission Charges.

As part of the implementation the following list of documents have been updated:
• Comprehensive Invoices Charge Types List (Shippers)
• Comprehensive Invoices Charge Types List (Transmission)
• NXC-NTS File Format
• NTE File Format
• ECO File Format
• OTA File Format
• Shipper Rejection Codes

All the documents listed have been uploaded to the appropriate folders within the UKL Documentation SharePoint.

As part of the document updates, we also wanted to draw your attention to the Shipper Rejection Code list.

It has been identified that a particular Rejection Code which is currently in production (NTS00007 - Outstanding request for short haul already exists) was missing from the consolidated Shipper list and has now been added and included within the live version.

Please note this additional code is already in production but simply missing from the list therefore it has been added for completeness.
