Thank you to everyone who took part in our Project Trident Preferred Hypothesis Consultation, which ran from 30 July to 12 September 2025.
Customers largely expressed support or neutrality towards the proposed hybrid option. Many highlighted the benefits of its reduced delivery risk and greater flexibility, compared to a self-build approach.
We appreciate all the time and insight our customers provided during this consultation.
You can now read the full summary of feedback in our Preferred Hypothesis customer consultation report below:

Next steps
Feedback will now inform the development of the Economic Case within the Outline Business Case. It will be considered alongside business priorities such as scalability, flexibility, speed of change and value for money.
We’ll also use this stage to provide further clarity on the hybrid option, as requested by customers during the consultation.
An online customer briefing will take place on Wednesday 5 November between 10:00-10:30am focusing on the main findings and to understand how this valuable feedback will be used as part of the decision-making process for the project.
If you would like to attend this briefing and haven’t yet received the invite, please contact communications@xoserve.com.
Thank you for your continued input and support during this project.
