As part of our annual activities to develop our Business Plan, we recently shared with customers our Draft Principles and Approach and gained feedback from our customers through a period of consultation. Following this, we are now pleased to share the final version of our Principles and Approach document.

We’d like to thank our customers who provided us with feedback during the consultation period. This feedback will be essential in the development of our Draft 2022 Business Plan. The feedback centred around four main themes:

  • Questions seeking to understand more about the arrangements with Correla and how customers can be assured of continued value for money
  • Areas that customers would like to see addressed during the business planning process
  • General concerns about market pressures
  • Suggestions relating to this Principles and Approach document

We have sought to update this final version of the Principles and Approach to address those in the final category (see summary of changes in Appendix B). We will pick up the other aspects as we develop the detail of the business plan, addressing each point raised and publishing all consultation responses (except those sent in confidence) alongside the first draft of the business plan.

Once again, this year we’re producing two versions of our 2022 Business Plan Final Principles and Approach document. They’re both the same document, just laid out differently. We want to give you the choice of how you view our document, whether that be on-screen or printed. One document is presented as single pages and the other as double-page spreads.

What happens next?

We will provide monthly updates at Contract Management Committee (CoMC) covering the main themes highlighted during the consultation and details of the future engagement opportunities during our business planning process.

The first Draft Business Plan 2022 will be published during September, alongside investment area deep dive presentations,  where customers will have further opportunities to provide feedback on our Business Plan for 2022/23.
