SwitchStream update – Sandbox testing now live

We are pleased to announce that the Sandbox testing environment for our Switching Programme Adaptor, SwitchStream, is now live.

What’s happened recently?

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has impacted the Switching Programme, with Ofgem making the decision to pause some elements.  However, we have been pressing ahead with the development of our Switching Adaptor, SwitchStream.

We have already made great progress, producing detailed technical documentation, and seen success through our internal build and test phases.  More information on SwitchStream can be found on our website.

What does our Sandbox do?

The Sandbox is a great opportunity for you to preview and test our SwitchStream solution and ensure the functionality will meet your Switching obligations. 

The Sandbox is a portal that enables you to test and validate file and Application Programme Interfaces (APIs) in a safe environment.  This will provide you with confidence that your file, API formats and data are correct.

Once you have access to our Sandbox you will be able to carry out the following:

• View file submissions
• View file validation results
• View errors
• View transaction
• View event history and timelines
• Engage user and account management
• View dashboard

You will have a dedicated person to liaise with directly for any queries, questions, issues or concerns you might have during your testing.  You will also have a user guide, glossary and frequently asked questions to help you.
